How To Downgrade ZenFone 7 From Android 11 to 10


ZenFone 7 / ZenFone 7 Pro (ZS670KS / ZS671KS) Software downgrade from Android 11 to target Image Version: WW-29.14.53.23 (Android 10) for WW SKU only. ※

Download ZenFone 7 / ZenFone 7 Pro Firmware  Android 11 to Android 10

Before you start the downgrade, please make sure all pictures, important data finished the backup. 

The downgrade process will erase all data to be a new system. 

ASUS company would not not be responsible for the risk of data loss. Steps of Update: 

1. Download the firmware and copy to internal storage. 

2. Remove Google Account. 

3. Pull down the quick setting list. 

4. The system will pop up a message which detected a firmware update info. 

5. Execute the downgrade firmware file. * If you skip step 5, and you don't know how to trigger the downgrade process again. Please reboot the system, and the downgrade info will pop up again. 

*How to know the device model? Path: Settings->About-> Model number Example: ASUS PadFone2 **How to know the device software version? Path: Settings->About-> software information->Build number Example: CHT_PadFone2-user-10.4.17.15-UpdateLauncher *System upgrade may cause part of data missing, please backup your important data before system upgrading.

How to enable Graphics boost - ROG Phone 5

What is Graphics boost? Graphics boost is an enhanced tool for improving the quality of the game screen, allowing players to adjust the picture quality according to their preferences in the game Tap Armoury Crate from the Home screen, enter Game Library, tap Scenario Profiles of the game > Display.


In the drop down menu select Balance, High quality or Customize.


For example, when Customize is selected, multiple settings can be adjusted, such as Anti-aliasing. Then tap Save in the upper right corner.

How to use Haptic audio on ROG Phone 5

What is Haptic audio? Haptic audio is an advanced function which can turn important sound effects in the game into vibration. Available on ROG Phone 5 Ultimate (ZS673KS) and ROG Phone 5 (ZS673KS).  Players can turn specific sounds (such as gunshots) into vibration when they touch specific areas to enhance the game's sense of presence. Launch a game, then swipe in from the left edge of the phone to call out Game Genie > Tap Haptic audio icon.


In the current version of Haptic audio, it supports two zones. If you want to set two touch zones, you can set the toggles for both zones to the on position, and adjust the size range of the touch zones by the slide bar below. The touch zones are presented in a circle and can be moved to specific positions on the game screen. For example, set the circle on the fire button, to achieve vibration for gunshots.

How to Customize Zenfone 7 Flip Camera Angle


How do I flip the lens? Can I customize the flip angle? To flip the camera: open the camera app, tap the switch camera button. To customize the flip angle, you can: 

  1. Long press on the switch camera button, then slide up and down on the preview screen to control and adjust the flip angle of the camera. 
  2. Press the up or down volume key to slowly rotate the camera. 
  3. You can also tap the flip camera icon on the right side of the preview screen. It has 3 pre-set angles to help you quickly flip to different angles. You can also store the current angle by long-pressing C1, C2 or C3. You can store up to three angles.

Fix ZenFone doesn't play HD movies in Netflix

If you're using your ZenFone to watch Netflix but you're not getting the quality you expect, or the video is blurry or grainy, follow the steps below to determine if your device plays in high definition (HD). 

  1. Please check if your Netflix plan support HD availiable or Ultra HD availiable. And contact APP vendor to change the plan if needed. 
  2. Check ZenFone specification. Widevine L1 is required for HD playback in Netflix. To check this: Open the Netflix app on your Android phone or tablet. From the bottom right corner, tap More More menu > App Settings. Scroll to the bottom, then tap Playback Specification. Next to Widevine, you'll see either L1 or L3. 
  3. If you see L1 but you're not getting HD playback, please contact APP for solution. 
  4. If you see L3, Please check if the Unlock device service be triggerred. Once the device unlocked, some digital contact may not longer be used. And only Widevine L3 digital right provided.

Minimize OLED Burn-in on Zenfone screen

How to minimize the effects of burn-in on screen? 

  1. Enable Auto-brightness: Settings > Display > [Auto-brightness] 
  2. Choosing a shorter time on sleep: Settings > Display > [Sleep], it can also increase the battery life when you select a shorter time on sleep. 
  3. Avoid using your phone to display a same image at maximum brightness for a long period of time.

How to change the screen refresh rate for different games ROG Phone II

The refresh rate for every game is set to "As system" by default. Please follow the steps below to change the refresh rate manually for each of the games in your device:
  1. Launch Armoury Crate from the bottom of Home screen.
  2. Select the game you want to change in Games Lobby then tap Game Profiles.
  3. Select Display from the options on left screen
  4. Uncheck As system.
  5. Select the refresh rate you want for the game and tap Save. You can set different refresh rates for each game in your device.

ZenFone Mobile Manager: Data Usage Function


What is [Data usage] function? With the "Data usage" function, you can check the data usage when using the cellular network or Wi-Fi network on a month, day, or application basis. In addition, each data usage can be managed and restricted by cellular network, Wi-Fi network, per application. * Please be aware that the data usage recorded here may differ from the data usage of the telecommunications company that you are using.

1. You can check the data usage of "Today" and "This Month" by tapping "Data usage" in Mobile Manager app.
2. By tapping "Today", you can check the data usage of the day on a per application basis.

3. By tapping "This Month" you can check the data usage of the current month by application.

Manage and restrict data usage of cellular networks: 
1. Tap "Set a Mobile Data Limit".
2. By switching the switch next to "Cellular data", you can switch the connection to the cellular network to enable and disable.
By tapping "Set data plan" you can manage and limit monthly data usage. Also, you can toggle the created data plan with the switch next to it.
4. Items that can be set using the "Set data plan" function are "Limit", "Warning", "Unlimited plan", "Renewal date".
a) For "Limit", enter the total amount of data to be used in one month.
b) When reaching the data usage selected in "Data limit alert", an alert notification message will be displayed. Turn off the switch next to "Unlimited plan" to temporarily stop the cellular network when it reaches the data usage entered in "Limit".

c) In "Renewal date", enter the start date to start calculating monthly data usage.
Manage and limit data usage by application: 
1. Tap "Control app data usage".
2. The application list will be displayed. By toggling the switch next to the application, you can restrict the connection to the cellular network or Wi-Fi network for each application. To restrict the connection to the cellular network, make settings from "Cellular" tab. "Wi-Fi" tab to restrict connection to Wi-Fi network.
3. You can set limits for cellular networks and Wi-Fi networks on a per-app basis. From the list, tap the application you want to restrict. If you want to restrict the connection to the cellular network, toggle the switch next to "Cellular" .For "Wi-Fi" if you want to restrict the connection toggle the switch next to Wi-Fi network.
4. You also can restrict the connection from the background to the cellular network and the Wi-Fi network by unchecking "background data". * Depending on the application, restricting the connection of the network in the background may restrict the function of the application.
5. You can also restrict all apps by disabling the switch next to "All apps". To restrict the connection to the cellular network, make settings from "Cellular" tab and for "Wi-Fi" tab to restrict connection to Wi-Fi network.
