How to Add ZenMotion to your Zenfone

ZenMotion is one of feature that come up with ASUS Zenfone 2. Sadly the first Generation of Zenfone (Zenfone 5, Zenfone 6) didn't get this feature. in the past tutorial, i've posted tutorial how to add zenmotion on first gen of Zenfone, but only for Double tap to sleep. Today Asus Zenfone Blog will post about How to add Zenmotion on Zenfone which support Double tap to Wake. but you need rooted and unlocked bootloader device. tested on Zenfone 5 and Zenfone 6 lollipop rom.

Download Resources:

1. Zenfone 5 Unlock Bootloader Tool (Download)
2. ZenMotion Auto-Install (New version:Download |old version: Download)

Instructions:

1. Unlock bootloader your device
2. Root your Device (Tutorial)
   
3. Enable USB Debugging (Settings>Developer Options>tick USB Debugging)
4. Connect Zenfone with PC/Laptop
5. Double Click Install ZenMotion.bat
6. SuperSU Appear on your zenfone and click allow
7. Follow instruction and Wait until done

How To Install Resurrection Remix V5.5.4 for Zenfone 5:

1. Download adb v1.0.32 from here:

2. Then download three files (Resurrection-Remix-LP-v5.5.4-20150823-a500cg.zip, gapps-L-x86-20150816-signed.zip and Bản sao của twrp-z5-sbinsh.img) from here:

And put this files in the ADB folder. Then you should reboot your phone in the droidboot mode. (turn off you gadget then press Turn off button and volume + button)

3. Go to the ADB folder and hold Shift + Right Mouse button and right this command:

fastboot reboot

4. Then wait while phone is boot. Then you should turn on USB debugging. Then go to the ADB folder and hold Shift + Right Mouse button and right this commands:

adb root
adb push Resurrection-Remix-LP-v5.5.4-20150823-a500cg.zip/data/local/tmp/update.zip
adb shell "su -c 'cp -pf /data/local/tmp/update.zip /cache/'"
adb shell "su -c 'mkdir -p /cache/recovery'"

adb reboot recovery

5. Then your phone will reboot in the recovery and rom will be installed. When you see Resurrection Remix bootanimation you should manually Turn off your phone and press Turn off button and volume - button.Then your phone reboot in the recovery. You should wipe cache and userdata and then reboot to system.

**How to install GAPPS on the RR
Note: do this ONLY AFTER RR booting.
1) Go to the ADB folder and hold Shift + Right Mouse button and right this commands: 

adb root
adb push gapps-L-x86-20150816-signed.zip /data/local/tmp/update.zip

Today ASUS Zenfone Blog will teach you How to Add Double Tap to Sleep Zenfone 5. This Feature only work for Zenfone 5 Lollipop and only for turn off the screen (wake up not working, use power button to wake). You must have Rooted Zenfone 5 to do this Tutorial, You can easily Root Your Device with Zenfone Root Kit Here

Files needed:

1. Root Browser (Download at Playstore)
2. asus.hardware.touchgesture.double_tap.xml (Download)

Steps:

1. Download asus.hardware.touchgesture.double_tap.xml above
2. Copy to Internal/SD card
3. Open Root Browser and Grant SuperSU
4. Copy asus.hardware.touchgesture.double_tap.xml and paste at System/etc/permission and set permission (tap file and hold) set to rw--r--r or 0644
   
   
5. Reboot device and go to Settings>Zenmotion
   
6. Turn On Double Tap suspend
   
7. Done, Double Tap anywhere at homescreen to suspend/double tap at status bar at menu to suspend.

Today ASUS Zenfone Blog will show you How to Downgrade ASUS Zenfone 5 A500CG From Lollipop to KitKat.

Downgrade Step (From L to KK)

1. Download the downgrade tool: UL-ASUS_T00F-TW-5.2.2.2-user.zip
2. Using MTP connecting ZenFone5 with PC. (Enable MTP: Setting-->Storage-->press the USB icon on right corner--> Enable MTP)
3. Copy file UL-ASUS_T00F-TW-5.3.3.3-user.zip to the ZenFone5 internal storage.
4. Remove the USB cable, the device will pops up the system upgrade information.
5. After finished, device will auto reboot and perform factory reset.
6. Then copy file UL-ASUS_T00F-TW-5.2.2.2-user to the ZenFone5 internal storage again.
7. After downgraded, device will auto reboot and perform factory reset.
8. After finished, please go to Settings->About-> software information->Build number. The version should be V2.21.40.44

this annoying trouble caused by Zenfone 5 latest system update 2.22.40.53. ASUS team are actively working for fix. for temporary way you can follow this step to fix this issue:

1. Turn on Dial pad touch tones (settings>sound) if doesnt work,
2. When accept incoming call press "hold" button once (upper right of 9 buttons)

Android L Release Delayed Due To Zenfone Verification Process Problem

Sad news for ASUS Zenfone 4, Zenfone 5, Zenfone 6, and Padfone S user. Today ASUS via Zentalk Super Moderator announced that ASUS will postpone Android L upgrade because verification process problem. Zenfone 1st Generation scheduled to get Android 5.0 L in Mid May, but with this announcement they will rearrange Android L upgrade schedule. This is the original post:

2. Boot.img recovery.img fastboot.img (Download Here)

Instructions:

1. Download Files Above and Extract 
2. Activate USB Debugging (Go to Developer Options>USB Debugging)
3. Connect Zenfone 5 Lollipop to PC/Laptop
4. Open WW Folder and Open CMD (Shift+Right Click > Open Command Here)
   
5. Check if your Zenfone Connected or Not. Type: ADB devices and you will see your device connected or not (Don't forget to click authorize on Zenfone 5 screen)
   
   
6. Now Reboot to Bootloader by Typing: adb reboot bootloader
7. After Entering bootloader then flash boot.img, fastboot.img, and recovery.img. type: fastboot flash boot boot.img then wait until finished type: fastboot flash recovery recovery.img then wait until finished, type: fastboot flash fastboot fastboot.img
   
8. Go to System Image Folder and Open CMD (Shift+Right Click>Open Command Here)
9. Type: fastboot flash system system.img and wait until compete
